Crazy Eight Strip Teaser Tabletopper by the 3/4 crazies

 Here is the newest thing I've been working on and playing with! I started with some blues, and got them into colour order, from dark to light.

I learned something new when I went to do this. If you don't want the strips to bow, it is important to sew each one in the opposite direction, meaning first you sew one set together, and then when you go to add your third strip, sew it from the bottom of the first set of strips that you sewed together.

I just love how these blues go together, and how they seem to fade out into white. When I was cutting the triangles, out of them (you'll see the final result in a second) they reminded me of wintery snow covered mountains! 

And now for what they turned into.......

  Isn't that a neat table topper?!  It certainly makes a beautiful statement. (as far as I'm concerned, but perhaps I'm a little biased?)
I'm not quite sure what I will do for the quilting. Any thoughts?
